Creating Sacred Space
Sacred Space - a term you’ll likely have heard of, and also a term that can probably be used in many different ways. I create a Sacred Space myself for any spiritual work that I’m doing whether it’s for doing my past life regressions, my workshops, or channeling my spirit guides, creating sacred space is always the starting point.
So what is a sacred space exactly? For me it’s a way to create a high vibrational space that functions as an energetical container. By asking for protection from all directions you make sure that no lower frequencies can enter. This is important because when you’re working with your inner senses, and opening your intuition you become sensitive to many influences. More so than when you’re working solely with your external senses. Energy and consciousness is all around us, and it comes in many different vibrational levels. When you start by first invoking your sacred space, you ensure that only the highest vibrational frequencies can enter your surroundings.
The process I use I learned from the very first medium I ever worked with, she taught me the script that I use till today. She taught me how to call upon the 4 Arc Angels each related to a direction (North, East, South, West). Each of these Arc Angels have their own qualities and their own energy, and when you pay close attention you can sense the difference between them. Many traditions work with the 4 directions, native Americans subscribe different totem animals to each of the directions for instance. Personally I feel connected to the Arc Angels but feel free to use whatever version suits you.
After calling in the Arc Angels I ask for Mother Earth and Father Sky to come from below and above to seal the sacred space.
So here we go, these are the steps and script I follow:
Step 1
First I close my eyes and center myself. I do a short meditation to turn inward and create inner silence.
Step 2
Now I ask for the Arc Angels of the 4 directions to come and create the sacred space:
I’m asking for Arc Angel Uriel from the North to come can create sacred space.
I’m asking for Arc Angel Raphael from the East to come can create sacred space.
I’m asking for Arc Angel Michael from the South to come can create sacred space.
I’m asking for Arc Angel Gabriel from the West to come can create sacred space.
In between each Arc Angel I wait to sense if they have arrived, then I continue.
Step 3
Now I ask Mother Earth and Father Sky to seal the deal:
‘I’m asking for the Divine Mother from Below to create sacred space.’
‘And the Divine Father from Above to create sacred space.’
Step 4
When I feel all are present I state:
‘I now declare this sacred space, only high frequency is welcome in this space.’
Step 5
A very important last step is to close your space when you’re done. I usually use some smudge or palo Santo as well doing this but you don’t have to. I thank and bow to each of the directions in backwards order that I opened the space. So I start by thanking and bowing to the Divine Father from Above and I make my way back through the other directions to close with Arc Angel Uriel from the North.
I highly recommend using this practice in whatever spiritual practice you’re doing. Whether it’s for your personal or professional use. It’s a beautiful way to ensure a clean and loving atmosphere and work together with the Arc Angels.
